Buffalo Travels to Los Angeles for Primetime Battle

The Buffalo Bills travel to SoFi Stadium on Monday night to face the Los Angeles Rams in one of Week 5’s biggest matchups. With both teams looking to strengthen their playoff position, the primetime showdown features two former MVP quarterbacks in Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford.

Buffalo enters the matchup with a 3-1 record after suffering its first loss of the season, a heartbreaking 29-26 defeat against the New England Patriots. The Bills will look to respond on the road against a Rams team coming off an impressive 24-20 comeback victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Los Angeles enters Monday night’s game at 2-2 and has an opportunity to move above .500 with a victory in front of its home crowd.

Josh Allen Leads Buffalo’s Offense

The Bills’ offense continues to revolve around Allen, who has thrown for 1,039 yards and six touchdowns through the team’s first four games. His ability to make plays with both his arm and his legs makes Buffalo a difficult opponent to prepare for.

Running back James Cook has also been a major part of the offense, recording 421 rushing yards and three touchdowns. His production gives Buffalo a balanced attack and can help take pressure off Allen against a Rams defense that has been effective this season.

Defensively, Greg Rousseau has been a difference-maker with six sacks through four games. Buffalo will need its pass rush to disrupt Stafford and prevent the Rams from establishing their rhythm.

The Bills will be without defensive tackle Ed Oliver and wide receiver Joshua Palmer, while wide receiver DJ Moore is listed as questionable.

Rams Look to Keep Their Momentum

Stafford and the Rams enter the game with confidence after rallying past Philadelphia. Stafford has thrown for 1,189 yards and six touchdowns, while wide receiver Davante Adams has provided a dangerous target with 390 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Kyren Williams will also be important as Los Angeles looks to keep Buffalo’s defense honest. If the Rams can establish their running game, Stafford could have more opportunities to attack downfield.

Defensively, Los Angeles will need to contain Allen and limit Cook’s production. Making Buffalo work for every yard could be critical in a matchup featuring so much offensive talent.

A Major Monday Night Test

The Bills and Rams have the potential to deliver another entertaining matchup. Buffalo wants to prove its first loss was only a minor setback, while Los Angeles hopes to build on its comeback win.

With Allen and Stafford leading their respective offenses, the game could come down to turnovers, red-zone execution and which defense makes the biggest plays when it matters most.

Game information: Monday, October 12, 2026, at 8:15 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The game will air on ESPN and ABC.
