Jaylen Warren picked the perfect time to deliver one of the best performances of his career, and the Cleveland Browns had absolutely no answer for him.
The Pittsburgh Steelers running back put on a show Sunday, rushing for 143 yards and a touchdown on just 17 carries in a dominant 27-6 win over Cleveland. Even crazier? Warren did it all on his 28th birthday.
Warren averaged an incredible 8.4 yards per carry, consistently breaking through the Browns’ defense and making big plays when Pittsburgh needed them most. His biggest highlight came on a 51-yard run that helped fuel the Steelers’ dominant performance on the ground.
And this wasn’t just a good day for Warren. It was a statement.
Pittsburgh ran for 200 yards as a team, controlling the line of scrimmage and making life miserable for Cleveland’s defense. Warren led the charge, while Rico Dowdle chipped in 56 rushing yards of his own as the Steelers bullied their division rivals.
The win also moved Pittsburgh to 6-2 on the season and into sole possession of first place in the AFC North heading into its Week 9 bye. The Steelers have now won four straight games, and their running game looks like a major reason this team could be dangerous moving forward.
Warren’s 143 yards tied his career high, making the performance even more impressive. He delivered explosive runs, found the end zone, and gave Pittsburgh exactly the kind of physical performance it needed in a rivalry game.
Not a bad way to celebrate turning 28.
If Warren can keep producing like this, the Steelers’ offense could become a serious problem for opposing defenses. Pittsburgh already has a powerful defense, and a running game capable of taking over like this makes the team that much tougher to deal with.
