Angel Reese is becoming a problem for the rest of the WNBA.
And honestly, that’s exactly what the league needs.
Reese has spent the 2026 season turning Atlanta into her own personal highlight reel. She has already broken WNBA records for single-game rebounds, single-season rebounds and double-doubles, and she just won Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
That’s not supposed to happen this quickly.
Reese arrived in Atlanta as one of the biggest names in women’s basketball. Now the production is catching up with the celebrity.
That’s a dangerous combination.
Because you can argue about her game. You can argue about her personality. You can argue about whether she’s actually one of the league’s best players.
But you can’t argue that people are watching.
And now she’s heading into the final stretch of the season with Atlanta sitting firmly in the playoff picture. The Dream currently sit fourth at 26-14, with the postseason approaching after the FIBA World Cup break.
That’s when this gets really interesting.
Angel Reese doesn’t need to become the best player in the WNBA to become one of its biggest stars.
She just needs to keep giving people a reason to talk.

She’s pretty damn good at that.
