Layne Riggs Continues Qualifying Dominance with Third Straight Pole at IRP

Layne Riggs continues to prove he’s the driver to beat in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, capturing his third consecutive pole position Friday at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. The Front Row Motorsports driver mentioned that he feels like he has this qualifying thing figured out at every type of track.

The pole extends Riggs’ recent dominance in qualifying after back-to-back poles at Lime Rock Park and North Wilkesboro Speedway. Carrying momentum into Indianapolis, Riggs once again put the No. 34 Ford at the front of the field, giving himself the best opportunity to add another victory to an already impressive season.

Riggs enters the weekend atop the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings with 640 points, holding the championship lead through consistent performances and race-winning speed. His 2026 campaign has featured:

  • Points Leader: 640 points (1st in the standings)
  • Race Wins: 4
  • Top-5 Finishes: 7
  • Top-10 Finishes: 8

With three straight poles, four victories already this season, and the championship lead firmly in his grasp, Layne Riggs enters the TSport 200 as the favorite. If his recent pace is any indication, the rest of the field will have their hands full trying to keep the No. 34 Ford out of Victory Lane.
