FORT WORTH, Texas — Kyle Larson is no stranger to success, and as the NASCAR weekend unfolds at Texas Motor Speedway, he enters as one of the most active — and dangerous — drivers in the field.
In the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, Larson has made the most of his limited schedule in 2026. Through three starts, he has a win at Las Vegas along with second-place finishes at Darlington and Bristol. That adds up to an impressive 1.6 average finish, highlighting both speed and consistency.
His track record at Texas only adds to the confidence.
On the Cup Series side, Larson won the 2021 All-Star Race at Texas and followed it up with a victory in the fall race later that season. In the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, he has also found success at the track, with wins in 2016 and again in 2025 — the most recent time the series competed there.
But Larson’s weekend isn’t limited to NASCAR.
He already captured a win in the High Limit Racing event earlier in the week and is scheduled to compete again following Saturday night’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race. It’s a demanding schedule, but one that fits Larson’s reputation as one of the most versatile drivers in motorsports.
With success across multiple series and a strong history at Texas, Larson enters the weekend as a clear contender.
The question, however, remains: can he finish the job?
Despite strong runs this season, converting speed into victories has been inconsistent. At a track where he has won before — and with momentum already on his side — this weekend may present one of his best opportunities yet to close the deal.
