
Wimbledon Day 9 (Tuesday, July 8, 2025) promises to be a thrilling day of quarterfinal action, with some of the biggest names in tennis set to battle it out for a spot in the semifinals. Day 8 was eventful–here’s EasySportz’s full Day 8 recap.

Here’s a look at what to expect:
Centre Court:

- Aryna Sabalenka [1] vs. Laura Siegemund (GER): The top seed Aryna Sabalenka will face unseeded Laura Siegemund in the first women’s quarterfinal on Centre Court. Sabalenka has been in dominant form, reaching her 11th consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinal. Siegemund, at 37, is having a dream run, having already upset Australian Open champion Madison Keys. This match will test Sabalenka’s consistency against Siegemund’s experience and grit.
- Cameron Norrie (GBR) vs. Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) [2]: The defending champion Carlos Alcaraz takes on British hopeful Cameron Norrie in what is sure to be a highly anticipated match for the home crowd. Alcaraz has been in excellent form, extending his winning streak on grass to 18 matches, and will be looking to continue his title defense. Norrie will have the full backing of the Centre Court faithful as he aims for an upset.
No. 1 Court:
- Taylor Fritz (USA) [5] vs. Karen Khachanov [17]: This men’s quarterfinal features two powerful players. Taylor Fritz has been having a strong tournament, and will be looking to capitalize on his form. Karen Khachanov, a former Grand Slam semifinalist, will be a tough challenge, known for his consistent baseline game.
- Amanda Anisimova (USA) [13] vs. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova: A fascinating women’s quarterfinal awaits between two players who have shown flashes of brilliance. Anisimova will aim to continue her impressive run, while Pavlyuchenkova, returning to the Wimbledon quarterfinals after nine years, will be eager to make her mark.
Other Courts:
Beyond the main show courts, Day 9 will feature action across men’s and ladies’ doubles quarterfinals, as well as the initial rounds of gentlemen’s and ladies’ wheelchair singles, and various invitation doubles matches. Junior singles and doubles will also continue their progress.
