Wimbledon Day 4 is set to deliver another thrilling day of tennis as the second round concludes for many, and some big names look to consolidate their positions in the draw. After a few days of surprising upsets, particularly in the women’s singles, all eyes will be on the top seeds to see if they can navigate their way safely into the third round.
Here’s a recap of all the action from Day 3.
Men’s Singles: Djokovic and Sinner Lead the Charge

On Centre Court, seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic (6th seed) will take on British wildcard Dan Evans. While Djokovic is the heavy favorite, Evans has an unexpected 1-0 head-to-head record against the Serb on clay from a few years ago. This match promises to be an intriguing battle, with the home crowd fully behind Evans.
Following that, World No. 1 and top seed Jannik Sinner will look to continue his smooth progression against Australia’s Aleksandar Vukic. Sinner has been in imperious form and will be aiming for another dominant performance.
On No. 1 Court, British hope and 4th seed Jack Draper faces a stern test against veteran Croatian Marin Cilic, the 2017 Wimbledon finalist. Draper will be hoping to build on his strong start and advance further in the tournament than ever before.
Other notable men’s matches include Ben Shelton (10th seed) against Rinky Hijikata on Court 2, Alex de Minaur (11th seed) facing Arthur Cazaux, and Tommy Paul (13th seed) taking on Sebastian Ofner.
Women’s Singles: Swiatek and Rybakina in Action

The women’s singles draw has seen its share of upsets, but Day 4 features some of the remaining top contenders. On Centre Court, Iga Swiatek (8th seed) will face American Caty McNally. Swiatek will be looking for a more comfortable outing than some of the other top seeds have experienced.
A highly anticipated clash on No. 1 Court will see Greece’s Maria Sakkari battle 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina (11th seed). This match has all the makings of a classic, with both players possessing powerful games suited to grass.
Young talent Mirra Andreeva (7th seed) will also be in action against Lucia Bronzetti on No. 1 Court, as she aims to continue her impressive run at Wimbledon. Barbora Krejcikova (17th seed) and Sofia Kenin (28th seed) are among other seeded players looking to secure their spot in the third round.
British Hopes Remain High
Following a strong Day 3 for the British contingent, all eyes will be on Dan Evans and Jack Draper on the main show courts. Beyond singles, British doubles teams will also be in action, with the likes of Jamie Murray and Rajeev Ram competing on Court 14.
Day 4 promises another full slate of compelling matches as players push for a spot in the third round. The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club will undoubtedly be buzzing with excitement as the drama of Wimbledon unfolds.
