Rising NASCAR Star Makes Rare ARCA Appearance

BROOKLYN, Mich. — The 2025 NASCAR racing calendar brings an unexpected twist as Corey Heim, a prominent figure in the NASCAR Truck Series, steps into the ARCA Menards Series for a surprise start at Michigan International Speedway.

Scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET, the Henry Ford Health 200 sees Heim replacing Jake Finch in the No. 25 Toyota for Venturini Motorsports, due to Finch’s illness.

The Details

Jake Finch, set to make his third ARCA start of 2025, was unable to compete due to health issues, prompting Venturini Motorsports to call upon Corey Heim, the former Venturini driver and TRICON Garage star in the Craftsman Truck Series.

The last-minute substitution adds intrigue to the race, with Heim bringing his proven track record to the 2-mile oval in Brooklyn, Michigan.

NASCAR Cup Series driver Corey Heim is introduced before the Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, Tenn., Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Heim, aged 21, is currently leading the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings, having secured four victories in the first 12 races of the season. His dominance is evident, with a strong performance driving the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota. Beyond the Truck Series, Heim serves as a developmental driver for 23XI Racing, competing part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series. This dual role underscores his versatility and potential, as he gains experience at NASCAR’s highest level alongside drivers like Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace, in addition to part-time Xfinity Series teammate, Dean Thompson.

Heim’s ARCA resume is impressive, with nine wins in 43 starts and a runner-up finish in the 2021 championship, losing to Ty Gibbs.

Although his last ARCA race was in 2022, his skills remain sharp, given his recent Truck Series success. At such a young age, Heim’s ability to excel across series suggests a bright future.
