ALTAMAHAW, N.C. — Corey Heim, the 2025 Truck Series champion and current part-time Cup Series driver, is set to return to the zMAX CARS Tour this Saturday night at Ace Speedway.
Heim will drive the No. 12 car for Nelson Motorsports in the 125-lap Late Model Stock Car feature. The event is expected to feature a competitive field, including drivers such as Kaden Honeycutt and Caden Kvapil.
Saturday’s race marks Heim’s first CARS Tour start since 2024, when he competed at Tri-County Motor Speedway. In that event, Heim showed strong speed and led more than 100 laps before mechanical issues ended his night early, leaving him with an 18th-place finish despite dominating much of the race.
Known primarily for his success in NASCAR’s national series, Heim’s return to Late Model competition adds another notable name to an already strong CARS Tour field. With experience across multiple disciplines and a proven ability to adapt quickly, Heim is expected to be one of the drivers to watch heading into Saturday night.
The race also gives fans another opportunity to see established NASCAR talent compete against rising grassroots stars in one of the premier Late Model touring series in the country.
