Orioles Drop New City Connect Uniforms Inspired by Baltimore Roots

BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Orioles unveiled their latest City Connect uniforms on Thursday, introducing a design that blends the club’s modern identity with deep ties to the city’s culture and history.

The new look features a cream-colored jersey with bold “BMORE” lettering stretched across the chest, a nod to the nickname locals proudly use for the city. Accents of bright orange and dark green highlight the lettering and sleeves, creating a sharp contrast that reflects both the team’s traditional color palette and a fresh, contemporary twist.

Prominently placed above the wordmark is a perched oriole bird, reinforcing the franchise’s longstanding identity while symbolizing Baltimore’s connection to its natural and cultural roots. The jersey also includes a circular sleeve patch honoring T. Rowe Price, a Baltimore-based financial firm, along with additional detailing that celebrates the city’s neighborhoods and community pride.

The accompanying cap mirrors the jersey’s aesthetic, featuring a stylized “B” logo in orange on a cream crown with a dark green bill. The combination ties together the uniform’s emphasis on local pride and visual distinction.

City Connect uniforms, introduced by Nike and Major League Baseball in 2021, are designed to highlight each team’s unique connection to its home city. The Orioles’ version leans heavily into Baltimore’s identity, from its colloquial language to its recognizable color influences and symbolism.

The team is expected to debut the uniforms during select home games at Oriole Park at Camden Yards later this season, allowing fans to see the new design on the field.

With the release, the Orioles join a growing list of clubs using the City Connect platform to celebrate their communities, offering a uniform that resonates beyond baseball and into the heart of the city it represents.
