Running the New York Jets Offseason in GM Mode

This offseason, I took control of the New York Jets in GM Mode on StickToTheModel with a focus on strengthening the defense, reshaping the offense, and building depth through the draft.

Here’s how the offseason played out.

Cuts

Justin Fields
Cap Savings: +$1.0M

Restructures

Three contracts were reworked to create additional flexibility.

These restructures helped open space to add multiple starters in free agency.

Extension

Joe Tippmann

The Jets extended Tippmann to keep a key piece of the offensive line in place long term.

Trades

New York made one major trade during the offseason.

Sent Breece Hall to DEN
Received 2026 Pick #62, Pick #130

This move allowed the Jets to add draft capital while reshaping the offense.

New York added several starters in free agency.

Tariq Woolen — CB
4yr / $23.2M APY
