MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Phoenix Raceway will host another marquee night of stock car racing Saturday, March 7, when the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series takes center stage at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on The CW with the GOVX 200. Set against the backdrop of a full weekend of motorsports — including the NTT INDYCAR Series and NASCAR Cup Series — the fourth points race of the 2026 season features a deep and eclectic field poised to race 200 laps around the fast-paced 1-mile Avondale, Ariz., oval. Television and radio audiences nationwide will be able to follow the action live, with MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio carrying the broadcast alongside the CW telecast.
Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Series feature is the highlight of the weekend’s action for the second-tier national series, offering drivers and teams a chance to shine under the desert lights. Practice rounds and single-car qualifying took place Friday evening on the CW App, giving competitors crucial track time on the slick, low-banked Phoenix surface. As teams dial in setups for race conditions, weather forecasts remain favorable with warm temperatures and minimal threat of rain, putting the emphasis squarely on performance.
The GOVX 200 marks the 21st running of the event and will run 200 laps (200 miles) around the one-mile speedway, featuring a traditional three-stage format designed to reward both aggression and strategy over its 320-kilometer distance. Scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday, the race follows a busy day that includes NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying earlier in the afternoon on Amazon Prime Video.
With 40 cars entered, the O’Reilly field blends national regulars, rising young stars and occasional Cup Series drivers looking for extra seat time. Leading qualifiers included Josh Williams and Daniel Dye, who posted top times in Friday’s qualifying session. Other notable names on the grid span the breadth of NASCAR talent: Blake Lothian, Chandler Smith, Harrison Burton, Brent Crews, Sam Mayer, William Sawalich, Sheldon Creed, and Jesse Love headline a lineup capable of racing at the front and disrupting the championship order. Cup drivers such as William Byron also bring attention and experience, underscoring how competitive and unpredictable the night can be.
In addition to on-track competition, Saturday at Phoenix is part of one of the busiest weekends of the early 2026 season. The NTT INDYCAR Series holds its Good Ranchers 250 earlier in the day, bringing open-wheel spectacle to the same oval that hosts stock cars later in the evening. Sunday will culminate with the NASCAR Cup Series Straight Talk Wireless 500, a full afternoon affair that adds championship stakes to a three-week stretch of major racing.
Statistically, Phoenix’s intermediate style and unique dogleg cornering often reward drivers who balance aggression with patience. In recent years, finishing position has correlated strongly with track position gained on restarts and tire management across long green-flag runs. With the O’Reilly Series featuring several developmental talents and seasoned veterans, expect battles up and down the leaderboard — not just for stage points but for momentum as the season’s first quarter nears its midpoint.
As night falls and engines roar to life under the Arizona sky Saturday, the GOVX 200 will offer a critical test of skill and resilience for competitors and teams alike.
