Los Angeles Takes Home Second Annual TGL Title

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Los Angeles Golf Club didn’t just win the second annual TGL championship — it made a statement about where this new era of golf entertainment is headed.

In a dominant performance at SoFi Center, Los Angeles rolled past Jupiter Links Golf Club 9-2 in the finals, capturing the 2026 SoFi Cup and doing so in convincing fashion against a team led by none other than Tiger Woods.

From the start of the finals series, Los Angeles looked like the more complete team. After taking the opening match, they left little doubt in the decisive showdown, piling up points early and never letting Jupiter Links settle into a rhythm.

Led by a lineup featuring Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Sahith Theegala, Los Angeles showcased the kind of chemistry and shot-making that the TGL format was designed to highlight. The trio’s experience — particularly the Ryder Cup pedigree of Rose and Fleetwood — translated seamlessly into the fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Even with Woods making his long-awaited return to competition for Jupiter Links, the result was never seriously in doubt.

Jupiter grabbed early momentum in the match, but Los Angeles quickly flipped the script, reeling off a barrage of clutch shots — including multiple eagle runs — to seize control and ultimately clinch the title before the singles portion could fully unfold.

For Los Angeles, it’s a championship that validates both talent and timing.

They were one of the most consistent teams throughout the season, battled through a competitive playoff field and then delivered their best performance when it mattered most. In a league built around innovation and entertainment, Los Angeles proved it can also deliver dominance.

And in doing so, they may have helped define what success looks like in TGL.

The league itself — co-founded by Woods and Rory McIlroy — continues to push the boundaries of how golf is presented, blending simulator technology with real short-game play in a team-based format designed for modern audiences.

The question now is what comes next.

There’s little doubt the product has intrigue. Big names. Fast-paced matches. A made-for-TV presentation. But if TGL is going to sustain momentum and continue attracting top-tier talent, evolution will be key.

One idea gaining traction: expansion beyond Florida.

A California-based stadium course — aligning with Los Angeles Golf Club’s identity — could be a natural next step. Bringing the product closer to West Coast fans, creating a true home-field environment and tapping into one of the country’s largest sports markets could elevate the league’s long-term viability.

Because if this week proved anything, it’s that the appetite is there.

Star power matters. Competition matters. And when those elements come together, as they did in the finals, the result is compelling.

Los Angeles Golf Club now sits atop the TGL world.

And if the league continues to grow — perhaps with new venues, new markets and even bigger stages — this championship could be remembered as more than just a title.

It could be a sign of what’s possible.
