MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Haas F1 Team will run a special “Godzilla” paint scheme for the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, bringing one of Japan’s most iconic cultural figures to the global stage of motorsport.
The design comes as part of a collaboration with Toho Co., Ltd., the studio behind the long-running Godzilla franchise. The partnership also helps promote the upcoming film Godzilla Minus, which is set to premiere in November 2026.
The livery features a darker, more aggressive look compared to Haas’ standard design, incorporating bold textures and imagery inspired by the legendary monster. The scheme is intended to capture the destructive power and presence that has defined Godzilla for decades, while also standing out visually on one of Formula One’s most recognizable circuits, Suzuka Circuit.
For Haas, the collaboration represents an opportunity to connect with fans in Japan while also embracing a piece of the country’s entertainment history. Special liveries have become increasingly popular across motorsports, particularly during marquee international events, and this partnership reflects that growing trend.
While the focus remains on performance during race weekend, the “Godzilla” design is expected to draw significant attention both on and off the track. By combining motorsport with a globally recognized film franchise, Haas is aiming to make a lasting impression at one of Formula One’s most anticipated stops of the season.
