In a hostile environment against a gritty opponent, the Kansas Jayhawks leaned on their star when it mattered most — and Darryn Peterson delivered.

Texas Tech was led by LeJuan Watts’ 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Donovan Atwell’s perimeter shooting kept the crowd engaged. The Red Raiders’ effort never faded, but late missed opportunities and Kansas’ ability to convert at the free-throw line proved decisive.
