Hockey fans were treated to a rare sight Monday night when Alex Nedeljkovic and Sergei Bobrovsky dropped the gloves during the San Jose Sharks’ matchup with the Florida Panthers.
The incident started after a scrum broke out behind the Sharks’ net following a late hit. Nedeljkovic stepped in as tensions escalated, and Bobrovsky skated down from the opposite end of the ice to join the confrontation. With players and officials crowding the scene, both goaltenders shed their gloves and squared off.
The two exchanged punches before linesmen moved in to separate them, ending one of the rarest moments in modern NHL play. Goalie fights have become increasingly uncommon, making the sequence an instant talking point across the league.
