LAS VEGAS — Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026
The Seattle Kraken (25-19-9) keep their Pacific Division road trip rolling into T-Mobile Arena tonight to take on the Vegas Golden Knights (25-14-14) with 7 p.m. PT puck drop on ESPN+. Seattle arrives riding a three-game winning streak, scoring at least four goals in each of its last five outings and showing offensive life that has sparked renewed confidence.
The Kraken average about 2.87 goals per game this season while allowing 2.89, and they’ve shown they can win the low-scoring battles too — Seattle has a 24-6-3 record when hitting the 3-goal plateau. Philipp Grubauer’s strong even-strength save percentage has been a steady anchor between the pipes, and the top line of Matty Beniers, Jordan Eberle and Jared McCann has driven the attack of late.
Vegas, meanwhile, posts more offense on paper at 3.32 goals per game with a solid penalty kill near 82%, but has been a little less consistent recently, dropping a handful of its last few decisions. Mitch Marner continues to chip in offensively and Rasmus Andersson has added steady scoring since joining the lineup. At home the Knights still command respect, and their faceoff success and special teams can tilt tight moments in their favor.
In their first meeting this season, Seattle surprised Vegas with a late overtime win — a result the Kraken will look to repeat and the Golden Knights hope to avenge. Tonight’s clash could hinge on which team controls the pace and limits mistakes; if Seattle keeps pushing transition goals and Vegas answers with structured attack, this Pacific Division tilt might be tight from start to finish.
Expect spirited skating and a few jaw-droppers on the stat sheet — because in January hockey, weird things are just part of the house rules.
