NASCAR Superstar Connor Zilisch Returns to Rolex 24 with Cadillac

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Connor Zilisch is back where endurance legends are made.

The Mooresville, North Carolina, native and rising American motorsports star will return to the Rolex 24 at Daytona for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season opener, this time chasing an overall victory in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class behind the wheel of a Cadillac V-Series.R with Action Express Racing.

Zilisch already knows what it takes to win at Daytona. He captured the LMP2 class victory in the Rolex 24 earlier in his career and followed that up last season by competing in the event alongside Trackhouse Racing teammates Shane van Gisbergen and IndyCar standout Scott McLaughlin. Now, he steps onto the biggest stage IMSA has to offer, racing in the top class with a legitimate shot at the overall trophy.

The 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona begins Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1:40 p.m. ET and runs nonstop until Sunday, Jan. 25, at 1:40 p.m. Television coverage starts on NBC, with full-race coverage available via Peacock and IMSA TV.

Zilisch’s return to Daytona comes amid a meteoric rise across motorsports. Already a proven winner in sports cars and one of NASCAR’s brightest young talents, he enters the 24-hour classic with experience, confidence and a Cadillac capable of contending at the front. Few drivers his age have already conquered Daytona — even fewer get a chance to win it outright.

The Rolex 24 has a habit of revealing the sport’s next superstars under the lights. Zilisch looks ready to embrace that moment.
