The Pittsburgh Steelers will wear 1933 throwback uniforms, featuring vibrant yellow jerseys with bold black stripes and large white block numbers. Paired with tan pants and yellow helmets, the look harkens back to the franchise’s early days as the Pittsburgh Pirates. They’ll don these threads in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.
The New Orleans Saints are introducing gold alternate jerseys, dubbed “Gameday Golds,” alongside a new white helmets. The jerseys feature a sleek gold base with black name and number plates outlined in white, complemented by black collars and pants. The helmets invert the team’s classic palette, sporting a white background with a gold fleur-de-lis and a central gold stripe. The Saints last wore gold jerseys in 2002, making this a rare revival.

The Los Angeles Chargers are rolling out two alternate looks: the “Charger Power” and “Super Chargers” sets. The Charger Power includes gold jerseys and pants with white helmets, a first for the franchise, to be worn in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. The Super Chargers nod to the 1980s and 2010s navy blue era, featuring navy helmets and the team’s current font, set for Weeks 8 and 13 against the Minnesota Vikings and Las Vegas Raiders, respectively.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are celebrating their 50th season with a white jersey alternate, a reverse of their iconic creamsicle throwback. The design showcases orange numbers and letters with red trim, paired with a modernized version of their 1976 uniforms. They’ll wear these in their home opener against the New York Jets on September 21.
The Washington Commanders are reviving their “Super Bowl Era” look, featuring white jerseys with burgundy-and-gold sleeve stripes, burgundy numbers outlined in gold, and burgundy pants with gold-and-white stripes. The helmets sport a gold stripe flanked by two white stripes and a gold facemask, with the current “W” logo. They’ll wear these alternates three times, including against the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys.

The Green Bay Packers will unveil new throwback helmets and uniforms on July 23, promising a fresh take on their storied legacy. The Seattle Seahawks will add a white road version of their 1990s throwback, while the Cleveland Browns are set to reveal a new alternate helmet between July 21-25. Additionally, the AFC East (Bills, Dolphins, Patriots, Jets) and NFC West (Rams, 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals) will debut “Rivalries” uniforms, designed to reflect local community pride and worn in divisional home games.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills are bringing back their red helmet for a game in Week 18 this season.
With the NFL expanding alternate uniform use to four games per season, fans can expect a colorful 2025 season as teams mix tradition with bold new designs.
