EAGLE, Neb. — High Limit Racing brought high-octane excitement to Eagle Raceway on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, for the Roto-Rooter Midweek Series Race #8, the Eagle Nationals, with a $55,555 winner’s purse. The third annual event, presented by Kubota High Limit Racing, drew a stacked field of sprint car stars, including Kyle Larson, Brad Sweet, Rico Abreu, and Corey Day, to the quarter-mile dirt oval known for its intense, wheel-to-wheel action.

The night kicked off with hot laps and qualifying, setting the stage for competitive heat races. Brad Sweet showcased his prowess, dominating Heat 2 to secure a spot in the dash alongside Rico Abreu and Tyler Courtney. The 40-plus driver field, featuring High Limit regulars and World of Outlaws contenders, battled fiercely for a chance at the lucrative prize. Eagle Raceway’s reputation as “1 Badass Race Track” held true, with fans packing the stands for a thrilling spectacle under the Nebraska sky.

Kyle Larson, a co-founder of High Limit Racing, continued his dominance at Eagle, aiming for his third straight victory at the track. Posts on X highlighted the event’s anticipation, with Larson and Kasey Kahne headlining the roster. The $55,555 prize, boosted by DURST Inc., underscored the event’s prestige as the richest one-day sprint car race of the season.

Chaos struck late in the feature when part-time ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Corey Day suffered a massive flip. The 19-year-old, competing in the No. 14 for Jason Meyers Racing, was contending for a top spot when the incident occurred. A post on X from @HighLimitRacing noted Day’s strong run before the crash, as he chased his first Eagle Nationals win. Day was evaluated and released from medical care, with no serious injuries reported.

The Eagle Nationals, streamed live on FloRacing, solidified High Limit Racing’s growing prominence in sprint car racing. With reserved seats and free pit pass upgrades for online ticket buyers, the event offered fans an immersive experience. Despite the dramatic crash, the night showcased the skill and resilience of drivers pushing the limits on one of dirt racing’s toughest tracks.

Michael ‘Buddy’ Kofoid would go on to win the race and the $55,555 purse prize. The California native fended off Day for much of the race, then a late challenge from Anthony Macri and Tanner Thorson. Recap of the race will be out soon.
