How to Gauge NASCAR Xfinity Series at Pocono:

Pocono’s unique three-turn design, with banking varying from 14 degrees in Turn 1 to 6 degrees in Turn 3, tests driver adaptability. The entry list includes notables like Chase Elliott, Justin Bonsignore, and Austin Hill, ensuring a competitive field throughout the afternoon. With a strong crowd expected and camping sold out, the atmosphere will be electric.
Weather forecasts predict a high of 81 degrees with a 3% chance of rain, ideal for racing. Bet on Elliott to win, Zilisch to shine, Gray to surprise, and Retzlaff, and DiBenedetto to offer longshot value in this thrilling Xfinity Series showdown.
If you want an additional favorite that can win the race, it’s hard to bet against Austin Hill at any form of drafting-style race track.
However, Hill has not had the results on non plate tracks this year as much as he would like.
I do not plan on taking the RCR driver of the No. 21 Chevrolet on Saturday, despite his win here in 2023, but can totally understand why many will.
If you want to add a driver outright to the card, Hill makes the most sense to me, I’m just not going to wager it.
At +750 odds, I just don’t like it enough to take him over Elliott’s experience, Allgaier’s speed and Zilisch’s momentum, at the end of the day.
Austin Hill tends to prove me wrong in these situations, so I’m sure the boy from South Georgia will be hoisting a trophy Saturday evening, as you all say “told ya so” to me!
Ha!
But for Saturday, my picks are as follows.
Elliott to win, Zilisch Top 3, Gray Top 5, Bonsignore longshot win pick, Retzlaff and DiBenedetto super longshot sprinkles.
Remember, I am not a financial advisor and the $ you wager on these NASCAR Xfinity Series races is completely your decision.
