CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland Cavaliers star guard Darius Garland successfully underwent surgery on Monday to address a toe injury that lingered through the postseason, the team announced.
The Cavaliers stated that Garland is projected to be sidelined for approximately four to five months as he progresses through treatment and rehabilitation and will be back for the start of the 2025-26 regular season.
Despite the injury, which affected him during the playoffs, Garland is anticipated to fully recover and be ready to return to basketball activities by the start of training camp.
Cavs fans certainly caught a break here with the Garland news, but they still need to pick up a couple rotational pieces for a strong playoff push next year.
Can Cleveland make a run at Indiana and Boston in the East? Only time will tell.
As Garland embarks on his recovery journey, the Cavaliers are poised to navigate this temporary setback with confidence. The team’s depth, bolstered by emerging talents and seasoned veterans, will be tested in the competitive Eastern Conference.
The future is bright in ‘the Land.
